While I might be the only person in the aircraft, this journey is only possible due to the amazing team that have helped me prepare and are supporting me throughout the trip.
Janaya Di Pietro
The most important member of my team is my instructor and mentor Janaya. I have been flying with her for over 12 months and we have completed a number of overnight trips away together. Janaya has extensive flying experience in remote locations all across Australia. As well as helping me to prepare for the trip, we will also be in regular contact during the journey to debrief and plan for the following day.
Global Sat
One of the risks that I am going to face as I leave the populated eastern coast is flying through some of the remote areas in FNQ, NT and WA and that means having the right equipment should I need to land in an emergency. GlobSat is a family owned business in West Ipswich, Queensland that specialises in satellite communications hire, sales & service for professional needs as well as personal trips like mine. Leeroy was able to help me out with selecting the right Sat phone for the trip and also supported young adventurers of tomorrow by making a donation and join the team.
Downunder Pilot Shop
Since unfolding my first VNC a couple of years ago, Downunder Pilot Shop have aways helped me with the supplies and advice I needed to get started in the air. While adding a few things I needed for this trip I recently met owner Ben. He was very excited to hear about this endeavour and has very kindly made a donation in support of this mission.
