A Start in Life is a small Australian charity who believes young Australians deserve a brighter future. With a passionate commitment to nurture young minds through education, the charity supports youth without life’s necessities to overcome barriers and reach their full potential.

Since their inception in 1923, A Start in Life has helped over 7,000 young Australian’s aged from 4 to 24 years old access a full education by providing them with the tools and skills needed to succeed and thrive.
Through providing individualised support to each student during their educational years, their learning is enhanced, their future is enriched and their career horizons are broadened. Electricians, nurses, pilots, producers, teachers, musicians, lawyers, politicians, artists, veterinarians and dentists are just some of the careers achieved by the students A Start in Life has supported.
